Ask Ren. Ren does it in your Chrome.

Ren Hands connects your Chrome to your Ren account. Ask Ren to check a price, look up an order or fill in a form. Ren does it in a small Ren window, on the sites you are already signed in to. You can watch every step and stop it at any time.

Add to Chrome How to connect Free. Needs a Ren account with Hands turned on.
Approve on your phone. The number in Chrome has to match the one you pick in Ren.

What Ren can do in your Chrome

Uses your own sign-ins

Ren works in your Chrome profile, so the sites you are signed in to stay signed in. You never hand Ren a password.

A window of its own

Each task runs in a small Ren window by default. Ren does not touch the tabs you are using.

Real clicks and typing

Ren opens pages, clicks, types, scrolls, picks from lists and reads the page, the way you would.

See what Ren saw

Steps can send a screenshot to your Ren chat. You see the page Ren worked on, not just a summary.

Learns a site once

When you ask Ren to learn a site, Ren notes how the page loads its data. Next time Ren can get the answer in one step.

Show Ren once

Ask Ren to watch you do a task in the Ren window. Ren records your clicks and typing and can repeat the task later. What you type in password fields is never recorded.

How to connect

  1. Add Ren Hands to Chrome. A Ren Hands tab opens. If you closed it, click the Ren Hands button in the toolbar, then Connect to Ren.
  2. Read the notice. It says what Ren Hands sends and where. Click I agree.
  3. Type your Ren email or user name and click Send request. The tab shows a two-digit number.
  4. Open Ren on your phone and approve. Ren asks Connect a Chrome to Ren? Tap the same number, or type it if Ren asks you to.
  5. Back in Chrome, Ren Hands asks you to confirm the Ren account it is joining. Check the name and email, then click Connect.
  6. That is it. The tab says you are connected, and Ren can run browser tasks in this Chrome.

No request on your phone? Open Ren, tap More, then Settings, then Ren Hands. The request is listed there.

Did not ask for it? Tap Not me. Ren then blocks new requests for 24 hours.

Prefer a code? Open Ren, tap More, then Settings, then Ren Hands, then Show a pairing code. Type the code in the Ren Hands tab and click Connect.

Each Chrome profile connects on its own. To add another profile, install Ren Hands there and connect it the same way.

You stay in control

Chrome's debugging bar

While Ren works, Chrome shows this bar. It is Chrome's own notice, and it is expected. Click Cancel on it to stop the task.

Stop, or pause

The Ren Hands button in your toolbar lists every task. Stop ends all running tasks at once. Untick Accept jobs to pause. Ren starts nothing new until you tick it again.

Buying asks first

Ren Hands refuses clicks on Buy, Pay, Checkout, Place order, Post, Delete account and similar buttons unless the task is approved for them. Ren is set to ask you in the Ren app first.

What stays out

Built-in steps never record what you type in password fields and never send cookie or header values. Page scripts Ren runs have the same access as the page itself: they can read anything that page can, including form fields and data the site keeps in this browser. Data Ren requests from sites uses your signed-in session.

Only your Ren account

Tasks come only from your own Ren account. A new Chrome connects only after you approve on your phone and click Connect in Chrome. Ren tells you each time a Chrome connects.

Disconnect any time

Click Disconnect in the Ren Hands button. Or open Ren, tap More, then Settings, then Ren Hands, then Disconnect.

What you need

  • A Ren account with Hands turned on. Hands is turning on for Ren accounts in stages. Open Ren, tap More, then Settings. If you find no Ren Hands there, it is not on for your account yet. Email us and ask.
  • Chrome 116 or newer on a computer. Ren Hands does not run on phones.
  • Chrome left open. Ren can use this Chrome only while it is open. Ren Hands stays connected to your Ren account the whole time, so new tasks start right away.

What Ren Hands sends, and where

Ren Hands talks to one place: your Ren account at ren.1088labs.com. It sends what Ren needs to do your task and show you what happened.
  • Screenshots of the Ren window, and the text and addresses of the pages Ren opens for you.
  • Data Ren requests from sites you are signed in to, for your task.
  • When Ren learns a site, which requests the Ren window made.
  • When you ask Ren to watch you, your clicks and typing in the Ren window.
  • The Google email, Chrome version and system of this Chrome profile, with a connect request, to the Ren account you name, whose phone shows them. Once connected, the Google email goes with each check-in.
  • Your network address, with a connect request, so Ren can tell your phone whether this Chrome is on the same network. Your phone never sees the address.

Anthropic's AI carries out your request and processes what Ren sends it.

Built-in steps never record what you type in password fields and never send cookie or header values. Page scripts Ren runs have the same access as the page itself: they can read anything that page can, including form fields and data the site keeps in this browser. Data Ren requests from sites uses your signed-in session.

Questions

Why does Chrome warn that Ren Hands can read and change all my data?

Ren Hands uses Chrome's debugging feature to click and type for real, and Chrome gives that feature its strongest warning. In practice Ren Hands works only in the window or tab Ren opens for a task, and only while the task runs. Chrome shows its debugging bar the whole time.

Can Ren see my other tabs?

No. Ren works only in the windows Ren opens. Ren Hands does not read the tabs you use or your browsing history.

Can Ren buy something without asking me?

Ren Hands refuses clicks on Buy, Pay, Checkout, Place order, Post, Delete account and similar buttons unless the task is approved for them, and Ren is set to ask you in the Ren app first. That check covers clicks and site requests, not page scripts or key presses, so connect Ren Hands only in a Chrome profile where you trust Ren with your sign-ins.

Does Ren need my passwords?

No. Ren uses the sites you are already signed in to in this Chrome profile. If a site signs you out, sign back in yourself.

Why do I check a number to connect?

So nobody else can connect their Chrome to your account. Only the person at this Chrome sees the number, and you approve on your phone. A wrong number cancels the request. Then Ren Hands asks you, in Chrome, to confirm which Ren account it is joining.

What happens when Chrome is closed?

Ren shows this Chrome as offline and cannot use it. Open Chrome again and Ren Hands reconnects by itself.

How do I disconnect or remove it?

Click the Ren Hands button in the toolbar and choose Disconnect. You can also open Ren, tap More, then Settings, then Ren Hands, then Disconnect. To remove the extension, right-click the Ren Hands button and choose Remove from Chrome. Disconnect first, so Ren stops listing this Chrome.

Is it free?

Ren Hands is free. It works only with a Ren account.

Which browsers does it work in?

Chrome 116 or newer on a computer. Other browsers that install Chrome extensions may work, but we have not tested them.
