Your chats never leave your device. The extension reads the export file you pick, stores it in your own browser, and talks to no server about it.
What the extension reads

The extension has no host permissions. It cannot read chatgpt.com, claude.ai or any other website, and it does not run on web pages. It has no analytics, tracking, ads or crash reporting.
Payments (Pro only)
Pro is sold through ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), which uses Stripe for checkout.
- When you choose to pay or restore a purchase, the extension opens ExtensionPay's page in a new tab. You enter your email and card there. The extension never sees your card.
- To check Pro, the extension sends ExtensionPay an anonymous license key created for your install. ExtensionPay answers with your paid status, payment date, install date and the email used at checkout.
- ExtensionPay's library keeps that key and status in chrome.storage.sync. With Chrome sync on, Chrome syncs it to your Google account like any extension setting.
- If you never open the payment page, the extension makes no request to ExtensionPay at all.
What is never collected
Chat content, chat titles, search terms, file names, browsing history, location and usage data. None of it is sent anywhere, sold or shared.
Deleting your data
- In the viewer: Export all, then Clear archive from this browser.
- Or uninstall the extension; Chrome deletes its storage.
- Your original export file is never changed.
Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
Updates will be posted here with a new effective date. Any change that would send chat data off your device would need a new extension version and a clear notice first.
